The high resolution spherical digital video camera system covers more than 80 percent of a full sphere, with 6 high quality 1600x1200 Sony CCD sensors providing up to 12 million effective pixels.

image acquisition, spherical and panoramic image production,
and camera settings.
Camera controls: shutter, gain, white balance, gamma and JPEG compression, saturation, image falloff, colour processing, blending widths, image stabilisation and pre calibrated stitching distances.
Display image type stitched in real time - panoramic, spherical 3d and dome projection views available. Instant display switching.
Balance image quality against frame rates, 6.5fps raw uncompressed to 32fps jpeg compressed.
Store streaming data to the hard disk for post production, editting and data storage.

The raw footage is sent by each camera to the computer and stitches all 6 views into a panoramic image in real-time for the camera man to see. Pre calibration provides high quality spherical image stitching on the fly.

This data can be rendered out in a variety of formats from full dome masters, panoramas and raw in several media types like avi, flv, wmv, bmp, and jpg sequences. This can then be edited in any digital video editing system supporting huge resolutions.

Powered by ac mains or inverter battery powerpacks. In mobile setups we use solar power to recharge all the equipment. The camera's water resistant housing allows it to function in most outdoor environments with operating temperature between 0° to 45°C.

The Rukcam is a modified travel frame converted to carry the camera above the cameraman's head. A stabilisng system has been designed on top of the Rukcam which helps with camera stabilisation mechanically. This system is totally mobile and battery powered with all additional electronics fitted inside the Rukcam. We use solar technology to recharge our systems in the field.

Our vehicle mounts consist of professional super suction cups and manfroto mounts combined with the our camera mounting kit. The vehicle mount also comes with G-Clamp fittings so the camera can be mounted on to general bar supports like that on a helicopter or microlite aircraft. In development are the underwater housings and high speed mounting enclosures.

Allowing for a fixed stationary position, levelled and fully adjustable. Reaching heights over 2m places the camera above most low level obstructions. Stability is maintained using a medium weight tripod with centre mass point. Quick release fixings fitted for fast installation and de-rig. Lightweight and durable for all terrains and structures.
